Wiley Thailand’s Business Development Manager, Neil Jessop, has been busy attending events across Thailand in the last few months, attending The Act Forum Expo in Bangkok and a business tour of Chaing Mai in 2020. Here are a few insights from Neil’s experiences.
Neil attended The Act Forum Expo, an international conference of architecture and construction at the Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand. There he saw 300 exhibitors and was involved in architectural seminars and workshops, visiting numerous design and construction exhibits.
Neil said, “my highlights from the conference included exploring new products and technologies which showcase the huge advances the construction industry is making each day. Robotics for the building industry and environmentally sensitive projects of all kinds were featured. I love exploring these conferences to stay ahead in the industry and make new connections.”
Neil was also selected to attend the business tour of Chaing Mai with the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association, a high honour.
“I visited many communities with other Thai businesses to learn more about the local culture and take part in activities. We were treated to beautiful restaurants in Chiang Mai, Kiti Panit and You by Chef Tu Tu. I was able to network with many industry leaders while learning about the local culture, and it was a fantastic experience,” said Neil.
Neil attended the 2020 Thaifex Anunga event in Thailand. Being one of the first international trade exhibitions to open in Asia following COVID-19, the event attracted over 700 exhibitors and over 21,000 visitors.
“Thaifex is an annual showcase of the global food and beverage community, and It was fantastic to have NAVATAN, a Thai fruit importer and Wiley client, attending one of the exhibits to catch up with. I can’t wait for the new round of Expos for 2021 once it is safe for us to socialise again,” shared Neil.
